The Sublime Limbo

Dear Yuri

Down in the sublime limbo
Time has started to move slow
And the hair has covered over the ears
Seconds, minutes, hours, days.. years?

Down in the sublime limbo
The games cupboard is locked so
Every movement commands attention
Every sound is worth a mention

Down in the sublime limbo
They’ve sat me in the bay window
I’m feeling like Arthur Radley must have felt
I’m watching a solitary red sun melt

Down in the sublime limbo
It becomes easy to let go
And the days fold like a rolling wave goodbye
Like a punctured tyre’s weary sigh

Down in the sublime limbo
Lethargy has made the troops feel low
But I know fear don’t own my mind
Faith outweighs the fear every time
