New Beginnings

I leave my window open to let positive energy in, be open to new beginnings, new opportunities,
while I do my best to let go of the things that hold me back like my anxieties and fears.

When quarantine first kicked in I felt trapped and to gain back the feeling of control,
I started doing many activities like working out, learning courses, and developing new skills.

I pressured myself to be productive. As time passed and things remained the same, I was able to adjust better to it and I became calmer, that’s when I was finally able to become more creative, motivated, and inspired with ideas without pressure involved. I played music, developed my guitar skills, opened a website where I post psychology-related articles that I write and work with other companies.

Now when most of the world is getting back to normal here in Israel we are unfortunately back in quarantine.
There is a battle here the same as the rest of the world between those who are not taking it seriously and those who are keeping safe to help themselves and others.

During this pandemic, I think we have learned something important and I hope it will keep seeping into people’s minds and hearts – there are many things we can’t see and yet they are very present in our lives – like coronavirus or like cases of discrimination on basis of religion, skin color and sexual orientation that can be very well hidden and in other times very clear – either way they are toxic and can cost people their lives.

I hope that people will learn from all of it that each one of us is accountable for our part in making the world better, each one of us has the power to make a difference and even the smallest change has an impact.
