Polish

Dear Yuri,

As the world faces a lockdown, I look up to the sky and I feel anxiety.

I live in Poland, a country which is using this horrible situation to manipulate the laws, doing everything to make an election happen in May, even though it would endanger health of so many citizens. The government is also trying to enforce stricter abortion laws, so that women can’t have an abortion even if they or the foetus have a low chance at surviving.

This lockdown makes me angry.

It makes me angry that I can’t fight for my right, as a woman and as a human, to live. I am scared for my health and everyone’s health in this situation and in this country. I pray for a better tomorrow.
