Songbird’s Morning

Dear Yuri,

For the longest time I have lived in an overcrowded and bustling city (London). The countryside is where long to be, yet we must endure this busy and polluted place to ensure we can grasp with both hands our imagined lives post Lexit! This newfound quiet on the streets permits the blackbird’s song, spoken each morning with such glee, now amplified since the lockdown a little piece of nature has returned to our desolate city streets. Was it always there, just drowned-out amongst the cacophony?

Whilst there is human crisis and tragedy all around, our world heals. This is the oxymoron within our current dilemma.
